It was lovely to hear your voice! I’ve followed your blog since the maybe 2010? 2011? And you have consistently inspired me to try new and different things.
We moved to Asheville from Atlanta in the winter of 2020 (I know, I know, terrible timing) and I was desperate to find new friends.
It was my passions (gardening, social justice, church work) that lead me to acquaintances and now deep connections to my ‘new’ community. I wish I had known this then - I worried so that I would never make a new friend at 60!
Keep being you. Love the new things you are doing.

I think a lot of people worry about it too, myself included. Then I realized when I'm confident in myself and pursue interests it usually works out.
Thanks so much for commenting! I really appreciate it. It's been fun to find my blogging voice again. I missed sharing thought like this.
Aww, this warmed my heart! What a great quote. I am so glad our paths crossed through our passions!
So cool you saw it. I was going to share it with you tonight! lol
