Protien Yogurt with PB2 and Banana
Another tasty way to enjoy yogurt for about 40 grams of protein!
I’m currently on a protein yogurt kick. It’s my go-to for experimenting with fun, dessert-like flavors that pack enough protein to support my goals.
Today, I was inspired by my ripe bananas. They are at the perfect stage of sweetness, but I didn’t want to eat one straight up. So, I started brainstorming and pulling out ingredients I thought would pair well with my perfectly ripe banana.
I don’t typically mix PB2 with yogurt, but once I got the idea, I thought: what better flavor combo is there than banana and peanut butter?
Then, I decided to add some crunch with walnuts and a touch of sweetness with a drizzle of maple syrup.
Since the yogurt and PB2 already provide plenty of protein, I mixed in just half a scoop of whey.
While I was stirring, the thought of cinnamon popped into my head. So, I added a healthy dash and mixed it in too.
Finally, I sliced up my banana and added it in a pretty way (just for the photo; otherwise, I would just throw it in there, lol), sprinkled a little more cinnamon on top, and drizzled a tiny bit of maple syrup.
It came out better than I anticipated. I already have a few more peanut butter flavored yogurt ideas. I’ll keep you posted!
